Learning Guides and LearnWell Digital
Learning Guides and LearnWell Digital are our newest ranges of resources. The content of a Learning Guide and its equivalent LearnWell Digital course are aligned, so you can mix-and-match print and digital resources depending on what you or your students prefer.
Learning Guides are books that support independent student learning by offering a connected, easy-to-follow learning journey through the material from start to finish. We’ve designed them to provide a great learning experience whether a teacher is present or not, offering flexibility for teachers and students. LearnWell Digital resources are also designed as stand-alone resources that take students on a learning journey. The tools available with the digital resources make it easy to track your students’ progress. You can personalise the feedback and support you give. Using LearnWell Digital means you can have 1 or 100 learners working a resource at the same time - or many students in one class on different resources. This multi-unit teaching model has proved to be efficient for teachers and engaging for students. It's a real time saver.
"LearnWell Digital has been a big benefit to me - I can get all students working on their own content at the same time".

New NCEA Level 1 NZ Commerce teaching resources
Our new NCEA Level 1 Commerce resources are well into development. In these, you’ll find the same clear, connected learning journeys as in our Level 2 and 3 Learning Guides. They are highly contextualised for New Zealand learners, with a variety of examples and case studies. They include financial perspectives from te ao Māori and the Pacific. Learners are supported to interpret and make financial decisions considering the impact on a range of groups they will come across in a New Zealand context. These include large and small businesses, rural and urban settings, clubs, for-profit and non-profit organisations, whānau of different forms and people in different stages of life. An extensive glossary supports students to develop their vocabulary. It includes kupu Māori that are essential for these new NCEA Level 1 commerce standards.
NZ commerce teaching resources for Economics and Business Studies
Our NCEA Level 2 and Level 3 Economics resources clearly guide learners through the complex world of economics, teaching them the skills they need to succeed. We’ve deliberately included a strong New Zealand focus. This helps students to make the connection between the economics ideas they are learning and their real-world experiences. Learners receive key background information, along with opportunities to practice, improve, and evaluate their work through comprehensive activity feedback. At the end of each resource, practice questions bring together everything students have learned. This, along with the great model answers, provided support for students to prepare for assessment.
90843 Internal Operations of a Large Business is one of our best-selling Learning Guides and LearnWell Digital resources. This NCEA Level 2 Business Studies standard includes Māori business concepts as a key part of its assessment. They are thoroughly explored at the beginning of the resource and integrated through the learning journey. This enables ākonga to apply the concepts while they are learning the rest of the content. We have also used a wide range of relatable case study examples including Māori owned businesses and other New Zealand-based large businesses for students to see how what they’re learning applies in real-life businesses.
