The Ultimate Number Start Right Workbook

The Ultimate Number Start Right Workbook has 72 lessons designed to give students systematic practice in the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with six key types of number: whole numbers, integers, fractions, decimals, percentages and exponents. This  workbook is intended for young learners aged 11–15 years.

This workbook supplements the series of LearnWell Start Right Mathematics Workbooks that have been written to support learning in The New Zealand Curriculum – Mathematics and Statistics. 

The Ultimate Number Workbook has the following features:

• For each type of number there are three progressive lessons in each of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  
• Each lesson has an attractive write-on double-page layout for ease of use.
  
• Learners can start at the easiest level and complete the three progressions in order, or simply do the lesson(s) that suit them best.
• Two fully worked examples are explained at the start of each lesson – showing a possible strategy for each calculation.
  
• A set of twenty related questions follows each lesson, with plenty of working space, so that learners can reinforce and consolidate their skills.
  
• Learners can mark their own work and record their results on evaluation strips, which encourages them to reflect on their progress and set personal goals.
• A full set of answers and a glossary of key terms are included at the back of the book.
