What you'll learn
In this course, you will learn about how you can express your ideas in written English so that you can communicate what you want to your chosen readers.
Whenever we write something, we do so with a particular purpose (what we want our writing to achieve) and audience (who will be reading what we’ve written) in mind.
In this course, you’ll learn about the various steps in the writing process, that will help you communicate your ideas clearly for any purpose and audience. And you’ll get to practise doing this too, building your skills in planning, drafting, revising, editing and proofreading along the way.
We’ll start by giving you an overview of the evidence you’ll need to provide in your assessment portfolio for this unit standard. Then, once you have a clear understanding of what you need to produce, we’ll walk you through some of the key learning points that will help you prepare for this assessment.
