This resource covers the things learners need to know and be able to do for the NCEA Level 2 Unit Standard 12355 Describe strategies for managing stress.
What you'll learn
We’ve all experienced stress at some time in our lives and we’ll continue to as we make our way through life. When not managed well, the effects of stress overload can spread to many different areas in our lives and last a long time.
In some cases, stress can lead to serious health and relationship issues. The good news is stress can be managed, and can even help us.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to describe:
- Internal and external sources of stress
- Consequences and symptoms of stress
- Psychological and physiological strategies for managing stress.
Teachers can collect the work developed through this course as evidence to support the assessment of the Unit Standard, but assessment is not included. A teacher guide is available.
LearnWell Digital resources put the learner at the centre. Using almost any device, students can easily work at a pace that suits them through interactive, scaffolded learning and activities.
