MOE30251 Tender Outcome Statement

Following recent media coverage of the Ministry of Education’s Maths Resources Tender (MOE30251), we are writing to confirm that LearnWell was one of the New Zealand publishers shortlisted as part of this process. 

While we were not selected as a successful supplier, we remain immensely proud of the work our team, authors, editors, designers and production partners put into our submission and the quality of the resources we continue to create for learners across Aotearoa New Zealand. 

We are also proud that LearnWell resources have previously been selected by the New Zealand Government and Ministry of Education to support nationwide Learning from Home packs, reaching learners and whānau throughout the country. 

As a New Zealand educational publisher, our focus has always been on supporting teachers, students, whānau and homeschool communities with resources developed specifically for Aotearoa New Zealand, aligned to the New Zealand Curriculum, and shaped by the experience of New Zealand educators. 

The tender process was highly competitive, drawing applications not only from New Zealand publishers, but also from several overseas publishing companies.  We respect the Ministry’s process and congratulate the successful off-shore providers. 

Importantly, this outcome does not change LearnWell’s ongoing commitment to supporting education in Aotearoa New Zealand. Work continues across our publishing programme, including the redevelopment of our Start Right Mathematics series to align with the refreshed curriculum, alongside updates and new resources across other learning areas. 

We want to acknowledge and thank the many educators, schools, whānau, authors, partners and other stakeholders who supported and encouraged us throughout the process. Your confidence in locally developed educational publishing means a great deal to our team. 

LearnWell remains committed to creating practical, curriculum-aligned resources designed for learners in Aotearoa New Zealand, and we look forward to continuing that work alongside communities across the country.
